Highway Trust Fund Transfer Sent to President Transfer will prevent shortfall in 2009 highway funding

Hill to Hold Veterans Assistance Event

(Washington, DC) - Congressman Baron Hill will hold an event to assist veterans with casework, address benefit concerns, and remind veterans to file taxes before October to receive a stimulus check.  Staffers from Congressman Hill’s office will be available to discuss problems veterans are having with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or any other federal agency and begin the casework process.  Officials from both the federal and state VA will be on hand to address benefit concerns.  Additionally, a team from the Louisville Veterans Administration Medical Center will be administering basic healthcare exams and enrolling veterans in their program.  Please find specific information below. ... view more

Hill Announces Panelists, Agenda Details for 2008 Southern Indiana Economic Forum

USDA Announces $10 million in Funding for Damaged Hoosier Farmlands Farmers with land damaged by the recent flooding may be eligible

(Washington, DC) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture has made $10,742,000 available to farmers and ranchers in Indiana to remove debris, restore fences, and repair conservation structures which may have been damaged by flooding or natural disasters since September 2007.  The Emergency Conservation Program (ECP) funding was allocated in H.R. 2642, the Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2008, which Congressman Baron Hill supported.  ... view more
