Hurricane Season 2008: To learn more about steps you can take during this week to prepare for a hurricane, visit FEMA's Hurricane Season 08 Website. You can also read NOAA's 2008 Hurricane Forecast. Be sure to read and keep a copy of South Carolina's Hurricane Guide, prepared by the South Carolina Emergency Management Division.

Each of the First Congressional District's 5 counties is at risk of being impacted by a hurricane or tropical storm. To assist my constituents with preparing for the annual hurricane season, I have developed this site to provide up-to-date information about storms and shelters, tips on how to prepare your home, and other useful information.
