Virgin Islands Law Enforcement Planning Commission Receives Grant

Delegate to Congress Donna M Christensen is pleased to announce that the Virgin Islands Law Enforcement Planning Commission (LEPC) has received a grant from the Unites States Department of Justice in the amount of $628,938.00.


The LEPC will use this funding for the STOP Violence Against Women Formula Grant Program (STOP Program). This program is designed to encourage the development and implementation of effective, victim-centered law enforcement, prosecution, and court strategies to address violent crimes against women. STOP program envisions a partnership among law enforcement, prosecution, courts, and victim services organizations to enhance victim safety and hold offenders accountable for their crimes against women.
