WASHINGTON- Congressman Lee Terry issued the following statement on the seventh Anniversary of the September 11, 2001 tragedy:

“Today we reflect upon our lives, learn from history and honor our heroes.  September 11, 2001 shattered our sense of security.  Today we thank all Americans for coming together during one of our country’s lowest times.  We especially praise our men and women in uniform, from the first responders on 9/11 to the men and women who are currently fighting for our freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan.  These are the true heroes of our time.”
