Sen. Salazar Announces Over $270,000 In Digital Conversion Funding for Public Radio Stations Throughout Colorado

DENVER, CO – Today, United States Senator Ken Salazar announced that the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) plans to release over $270,000 in funding that will aid public radio stations in Durango, Pagosa Springs, Pueblo and Fort Collins to convert from analog to digital broadcasting, thereby significantly enhancing the quality and scope of services they provide to their local communities.

“As a former radio station owner, I am well aware of the important service local public radio provides to listeners across Colorado,” said Senator Salazar. “This funding will benefit all those who receive their news and other media via community radio throughout the State. By granting the tools necessary to enhance and improve the quality of service offered by these public stations, we all benefit.”
