Congressman Souder's Position

Several of my concerns about the Democrat’s proposal to take over health care were highlighted in the Education and Labor committee where we started the House debate over the bill.

The mark-up lasted through the night, and it became apparent that the Democrats cannot answer basic questions about how we are going to pay for the proposal. And, while the bill is currently 1,000 pages long, we could end up with ten thousand pages of regulations by the time this debate is over.
