July 31, 2008: Ellsworth Introduces Bill to Provide Affordable, Necessary Prescription Drugs to Seniors

WASHINGTON - As Hoosier seniors struggle to cover the rising cost of gas, groceries, health care, and other necessities, Rep. Brad Ellsworth today introduced legislation to help America's most vulnerable seniors access affordable, necessary prescription drugs. The Medicare Prescription Drug Cost Equalization Act restores fairness to the Medicare Prescription Drug Program, known as Part D, by reducing the amount of money many seniors have to pay out-of-pocket for costly, but medically necessary prescription drugs with no lower-cost alternatives.
