Runway and infrastructure improvements at this municipal airport will help the City of Palatka as it develops a future business/industrial park on adjacent property. Expansion of the runway will allow opportunities for increasing economic activity in the surrounding area, create additional jobs and alleviate safety issues.

     Federal assistance obtained by Rep. Mica, who serves as Chairman of the House Aviation Subcommittee, will permit the primary runway to be extended from the current 5,500 feet to 7,500 feet in length.
