USDA FUNDS FOR WILKINSON COUNTY
$37,835 in federal Rural Development
funds announced for new police
cars
(WASHINGTON, D.C.) –Congressman
Chip Pickering announces two USDA
Rural Development grants for Wilkinson
County. Woodville will receive
a $17,875 grant and Centreville
will receive $19,960 each to purchase
a new police car.
“These
funds will help better equip Woodville
and Centreville law enforcement
so they can more effectively and
safely carry out their calling
to protect the public," Congressman
Pickering said. “I’m
pleased to announce these federal
funds that will assist in crime
prevention.”
This Community Facility Grant is
provided through the United States
Department of Agriculture’s
Rural Development office.
Congressman
Chip Pickering represents Mississippi’s
Third Congressional District
and serves on the House Energy
and Commerce Committee. This
is his sixth term.
