WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Pete Stark (D-CA) today criticized Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld for comparing critics of the War in Iraq to Hitler appeasers.
 
"Democrats know better than to take history lessons from Donald Rumsfeld," said Representative Pete Stark. "The Secretary of Defense misled the American people about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction and the cost and length of the War in Iraq. Desperate to divert attention from his many failures as Defense Secretary, Rumsfeld is resorting to tactics that would make Joe McCarthy proud. The sooner Rumsfeld resigns, the safer America will be."
