FY09 Transportation Project Nomination Process
The Project Nomination Process (PNP) for Denali Commission (Commission) Transportation Program Projects for Federal Fiscal Year 2009 (FFY 2009) begins August 1, 2008. The nomination period closes on October 1, 2008. Nominations for both road and waterfront development projects will be accepted during this period. Information regarding the required forms for submission can be found at the link provided. Please read the Fiscal Year 2009 Project Nomination Process document, prior to submitting your project nomination. Cost Containment Benchmarks
At the request of the Denali Commission, NANA Pacific has completed an update to Cost Containment Benchmarks for the Health, Energy, Teacher Housing, and Multi-Use Facility programs. The Commission will use this data to provide cost and project cost review criteria on a regional basis for construction projects under Commission management and development, and will have the document updated annually. 2008 Distressed / Non-Distressed List
Annually the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Research and Analysis Section compiles a list of distressed and non-distressed communities utilizing employment and wage information. Multi-Use Facility Program Evaluation
NANA Pacific has completed a third party evaluation of the Denali Commission's Multi-Use Program. This report was completed for the Denali Commission and the Department of Energy and is now available. Fuel Costs, Migration, and Community Viability
A study prepared for the Denali Commission by the Institute of Social and Economic Research (ISER) focuses on fuel costs, migration and community viability, May 2008.


Denali Commission Quarterly Meeting
The Denali Commission held its last Quarterly Meeting Thursday, May 1, 2008 in Cordova, Alaska. The minutes from that meeting are now available. Please contact the Commission office at 907.271.1414 with any questions or comments.


Denali Commission Program and Policy Review
The Denali Commission hired the McDowell Group in 2006 to conduct an overall independent program evaluation of the Commission. McDowell has completed their assessment and we are happy to report their findings.
