Coordination of U.S. International Road Activities

The Office of International Programs (OIP) organizes the FHWA's official participation in selected international highway-related organizations, conferences and trade shows.

OIP's involvement with international organizations and their operating committees promotes FHWA interests on international transportation issues as well as the objectives of the U.S. highway transportation community. Examples of these international organizations include:

• World Road Association (PIARC)
• Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)
