From the airport rental car terminal, take a right onto University Blvd and after a few hundred yards, take a left onto Sunport Blvd. Then take the exit to I-25 North to Santa Fe. You will follow I-25 North for approximately 53 miles. Take the NM-599 North exit #276B. Continue on NM-599 North for about 14 miles. Get into the left lane, to take the US-84 North/US-285 North exit to go north on US-84 North/US-285 North for about 14 miles. Take the NM-502 West exit and turn left at the light at the bottom of the off ramp, to continue on NM-502 West for about 8 miles. At the top of the hill, stay to your right, to continue on NM-4 (the truck route). After about one mile, take a right at the light to continue on NM-4. After about 9 miles you will get to the intersection of Diamond Drive and West Jemez Road (see the detail on the map of Los Alamos below).

This route takes approximately 1.5-2 hours of driving time.
