The mission of U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Mine Drainage Activities web site is to promote communication, cooperation, and collaboration among USGS scientists working on problems related to mining and the environment. The group is interdisciplinary and includes members from all USGS regions and disciplines (Water, Geology, Biology, and Geography.)
