The Olympic AMA covers 125,000-acres
that are scattered throughout the Olympic National Forest on the
Olympic Peninsula, Washington State. Nearby lands include Washington
Department of Natural Resources land, Indian Reservations and private
lands. Objectives for the Olympic include the development of
techniques for increasing the diversity of managed forest and stream
habitats and emerging social and economic objectives with habitat
development practices, largely through the use of innovative silvicultural approaches. Associated communities include Forks,
Port Angeles, Quilcene, Hoodsport, Shelton, Quinault, Hoquiam and
Aberdeen Washington.
