Interagency Restoration Database

What's New

A new version of IRDA, version 2.0.2, is now available! IRDA now utilizes MS Access and ArcView to facilitate data entry, management and analysis of restoration activities. Check out the new user guide for more details.

Goals

The Interagency Restoration Database (IRDA) was developed to meet Interagency information tracking needs in restoring aquatic systems.

The goals of IRDA are to:

blue-green bullet To provide for consistent and universal reporting and accountability among federal agencies across the land base.

blue-green bullet To provide a common approach to meeting federal agency commitment made in monitoring and reporting restoration efforts in the Oregon Coastal Salmon Restoration Initiative, Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board and similar efforts in Washington and California states

After entering data into IRDA, each unit/district will send the data to the Regional Ecosystem Office (REO) as described below. Optionally, you may combine up multiple datasets such as several districts to create a regional dataset using the these instructions before uploading the data. We will collate all the information into one regional dataset for Washington, Oregon and Northern California. You may then review the regional dataset through the  Access/GIS database files or hard copy maps described below.

 Restoration Data

Check out the Restoration data using one of the following methods:
blue-green bullet  GIS Data - Data has been compressed into zip format :
Version 2.02 using MS Access/ArcView Shapefiles:  2002 to 2004

Version 1.34 using ArcView shapefiles and .dbf tables:  19981999, 2000 or 2001. Version 1.34 documentation (MS Word .doc).

blue-green bullet  Hard Copy/Print Quality Maps
1998 through 2001 data - Maps and reports showing restoration activities in the Pacific Northwest using IRDA data. These reports were developed in coordination with the US Forest Service in order to identify Aquatic Restoration projects for each 3rd Level Basin in the Pacific Northwest. The goal of these reports were:

  1. Highlight restoration activities completed by the Forests Service in relation to activities by other agencies.

  2. Share information and support project coordination across agencies, watershed councils, and Soils & Water Conservation .

  3. Identify related issues which affect each basin such water quality and listed fish species.

The Application

Steps to entering Restoration data into the IRDA application:

blue-green bullet Retrieve the latest IRDA Application and Documentation
blue-green bullet Enter data into IRDA as explained in the Documentation. Click here for information how to combine up multiple datesets into a forest-wide or regional dataset.
blue-green bullet Prepare file for uploading as described in File Prep Instructions prior to uploading
blue-green bullet Upload Local Restoration Data for regional processing
blue-green bullet Review the dataset of all submitted data and/or previous years datasets
