The mission of the External Affairs office is to ensure timely and accurate information about the university to internal and external stakeholders, extend the university's reputation with various audiences, and to improve knowledge of and appreciation for USU's unique role in public health and military medicine education and research.
The various offices provide a range of services to the university's faculty, students and administration aimed at supporting the educational research mission of USU.
The Office of External Affairs also functions as the communications center for the university and its many constituencies, including other Federal agencies, community groups, Congress as well as other elected and appointed officials at local, state and Federal levels.
