Welcome

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is the central research and development organization for the Department of Defense (DoD). It manages and directs selected basic and applied research and development projects for DoD, and pursues research and technology where risk and payoff are both very high and where success may provide dramatic advances for traditional military roles and missions.

Do you have an idea that you are passionate about? Something you can't do at your current job? Consider joining the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). We embrace high-risk, high-payoff ideas that lead to new capabilities for the U.S. men and women in uniform. This is one of the reasons DARPA is such a unique place to work. You can learn more about DARPA, our culture and our people throughout our site. Find out more about joining DARPA here.
