NRCS TechReg Picture

TechReg

The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Conservation Districts have traditionally provided technical assistance for conservation planning and practice installation, and will continue to do so.  What’s new is assistance from Technical Service Providers (TSPs), individuals certified to assist with conservation planning, design, layout, installation, and maintenance of conservation measures and practices.  TechReg is an online registry of TSPs.  Those interested in becoming a TSP apply and request certification.  Customers can locate and choose TSPs authorized to provide service in their area.

ProTracts Logo

ProTracts

ProTracts is a web-enabled application that eliminates several paperwork steps and streamlines the program contracting process. ProTracts is useful to partners and customers. Program managers use ProTracts to allocate and track funds to States, counties, and areas. USDA customers can go on-line to complete and submit a program contract application. Field conservationists and TSPs use ProTracts to create and manage contracts containing practices and components. They certify completed practices and approve them for payment. Contracts are built using cost lists maintained in eFOTG. Cost-share contracts are geo-referenced for rapid and flexible reporting.

ProTracts is integrated with automated processes managed by the Farm Service Agency, including eligibility determinations, payment limitations, and payment processing.
