Race and Politics

Thursday, September 25, 2008 : 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Phoenix College, Dome Auditorium : 3110 N. 10th Ave.
(Northeast corner of 11th Avenue and Flower Street)

Race and Politics...will examine the history and life of race in the American political landscape, and demonstrate how some Americans seem reluctant to engage in frank and sustained dialogue about these critical topics.

Panelists will also present examples of how the tendency to exploit racial fears has been a fundamental organizing principle of American politics and how this thinking has influenced the upcoming presidential election.

Members of the community will have an opportunity to share their ideas and impressions during the forum through dialogue and interaction with the panelists. We invite you to remain for refreshments and additional conversation following the forum.

The forum is free and open to the public.
