The naturalization process begins with the Application for Naturalization form. U. S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) should be contacted directly for the form and procedures on becoming naturalized. Applicants seeking citizenship will receive the ceremony date and time from USCIS. Naturalization Ceremonies:
The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Missouri shares jurisdiction with the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri to conduct naturalization ceremonies for applicants seeking citizenship. The ceremonies listed on this web site are presided over by a United States Bankruptcy Judge. The Thomas F. Eagleton United States Courthouse in St. Louis is the primary location for naturalizing new citizens within the Eastern District of Missouri. On occasion, ceremonies are held at other locations.
You must arrive at the ceremony location on the date and time listed in the notification letter sent to you by the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services agency. Petitioners must check in and review paperwork with the USCIS representatives at least 15 minutes prior to the starting time of the naturalization ceremony. The starting times are listed below. Public parking is not available at the courthouse. Several parking garages are located nearby. Parking meters are available within walking distance (check meter instructions for time limits).
Do not send requests for scheduling a new date or notices that you cannot appear at the ceremony to the Bankruptcy Court or the District Court. If you are unable to appear for your scheduled ceremony, please send written notice as soon as possible to:

Records & Name Changes:
The only naturalization records stored at the Thomas F. Eagleton U.S. Courthouse are Court orders for each naturalization ceremony held from 1996 through the present and name change petitions from that same time period. Not all new citizens complete name change petitions. For name change information, please consult the Naturalization section of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri’s web site at http://www.moed.uscourts.gov/naturalization/contactinfo.html. The United States Bankruptcy Court does not handle name change petitions.
Lost Certificates:
Replacement certificates of citizenship can only be obtained through United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Please see their web site for instructions at http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis or call the USCIS St. Louis, MO office at (314) 539-2536.
