Family Support Program

In concert with the programs developed by the U.S. Probation Office, our district has developed and implemented the Family Support and Mentorship Program. The goal of the program is to provide information and referral resources to the defendant and their family during the adjudication process, while incarcerated, and their transition upon release from the Bureau of Prisons.

The one-hour orientation, which is voluntary for defendants to attend, provides defendants and their families with an opportunity to receive general information about the Bureau of Prisons and available resources in the communities. Attendance by family members is highly encouraged. The setting is informal and supportive, allowing for questions by the attendees. Follow-up assistance is provided upon request.

Contact U.S. Probation Officer Vashell Anderson for more information or referrals (314) 224-6702.
