May Be Considered: By law, employment at most U.S. Government

Brief
Description of Duties: Applies knowledge of established publishing specifications and coordinates with Electronic Research Products Office's (ERPO) editorial, quality assurance, and graphics units to provide ongoing publication production support. Identifies formatting and coding issues with files and uses word-processing and publishing software to make corrections and clean up code, such as XML coding, in source files for republication in a timely manner. Provides administrative support related to ERPO's overall operations, and may assist with specialized or unique program or office needs. For example, may assist with the development and maintenance of quality assurance and procedural checklists and guides. Uses standard approaches to perform a variety of duties related to special projects involving administrative or program issues, such as assisting with audits of CRS products for quality issues.
Minimum
Qualifications: To be considered, candidates must possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-9 level in the Federal government or at a comparable level of difficulty outside the Federal government. "Specialized experience" is that which demonstrates in a professional work setting, the ability to edit electronic materials for correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, conformity to style guidelines, and identifying and correcting formatting and coding issues. Evidence of meeting the minimum qualifications must be indicated on the application form or any supplemental documents or statements.
