2008 Capitals Alliance Conference

Planning officials and policymakers from capital cities around the world are in Washington this week to share insights on creating environmentally sustainable capitals. Next Commission Meeting

The next monthly public Commission meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 2, 2008, at 12:30 p.m. in the Commission offices. National Capital Framework Plan Available for Public Review

On July 10 the National Capital Framework Plan, a joint effort of NCPC and the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts that aims to create vibrant and accessible destinations in federal precincts around the National Mall, was released for a 90-day public review and comment period that extends through October 10. Comments may be directed to FrameworkPlan@ncpc.gov or by regular mail. A second public comment meeting will take place on Thursday, September 25 at NCPC's offices. An open house will take place at 5:30 p.m. with a presentation and discussion to follow at 6:00 p.m.
