National Data Buoy Center
Mariners can receive the latest coastal and offshore weather observations through the Coastal-Marine Automated Network (C-MAN) stations. The stations are located in the Atlantic, Pacific, Gulf of Mexico, and the Great Lakes and are operated by the National Data Buoy Center (NDBC). NDBC is part of the National Weather Service (NWS). All C-MAN stations report the winds, air temperature, and pressure; some also report wave information, water temperature, visibility, and dew point.

Sea Grant Nonindigenous Species Site (SGNIS)
Looking for peer-reviewed science-based information on zebra mussels and other nonindigenous species? This site contains a comprehensive collection of research publications and education materials produced by Sea Grant programs and others, and includes more than 500 peer-reviewed research and outreach reports. In addition to the Sea Grant research available, the site provides access to over 100 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reports as well as material from the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and NOAA's Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory. This site is useful for industrial and municipal water users, shoreline property owners, boaters, resource management agencies, students, teachers, outreach professionals, researchers and the news media.
