Free California-Friendly Gardening Classes Being Offered to Residential CustomersThe City of San Diego Water Department is co-hosting, along with the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, a series of free classes designed to help gardeners save water (and money) while making sure their gardens are as colorful, healthy and attractive as ever. The California Friendly Gardening for the Water Wise Gardener will be an overview of basic concepts for water-wise landscape design. Each of the three classes will cover the same topics. The classes will be:
CALL (619) 570-1999 TO RESERVE A SPOT The California Friendly and Native Plants Class will focus on native plants and other plants appropriate to our semi-arid climate. There will be one class on Saturday, January 10, 2009, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. at the Balboa Park Recital Hall (located in the Palisades Building). CALL (619) 570-1999 TO RESERVE A SPOT Finally, there is a Four-Part Residential Series which will address each of the following topics in detail. These classes will be held on each of these days from 8:30 a.m. until noon at the Scripps Ranch Community Service Center, 11885 Cypress Canyon Rd. San Diego, CA 92131.
