Welcome to the Department of Technology Services

Technical Training

The Department of Technology Services (DTS) Training & Event Center offers technical training and certificate programs. Please refer to our Training Schedule for dates and course descriptions.

Certificate Programs

How to Obtain a Certificate

To obtain a certificate, enroll in and complete all courses listed for the program of your choice. The courses in each program are offered on various dates throughout the year; choose the individual course dates that are most convenient. It is strongly recommended that you attend the courses in the order listed. If you have previously attended any courses applicable to your certificate program, they will count toward earning the certificate.

To obtain your program certificate, notify the DTS Training & Event Center when beginning your last required course that you are about to complete the program. Your certificate will be prepared and awarded to you upon completion of the final class.

Most courses may also be taken as stand-alone classes, although some prerequisites apply. The IT Project Management program modules are not available for stand-alone enrollment.

LearningPASS Program

The LearningPass Program provides government agencies with high-quality, cost-effective information technology training through a partnership with the DTS Training & Event Center and a contracted training provider. This program makes it easy to procure New Horizons' e-learning (web-based training), and instructor-led classroom technical training courses for yourself and your employees.

PMI Professional Development Units

Project Management Professionals can also take courses to earn PMI Professional Development Units, which can be used toward fulfilling Continuing Certification Requirements.

Please refer to our Course Catalog for a complete listing of classes offered at the DTS Training & Event Center.
