Soil Survey
Modern soil surveys are available in all 99 Iowa Counties. All soil surveys
are available in an electronic format. Digital aerial photography is
available for the entire state. Electronic soil surveys and aerial
photography can be accessed through the
Iowa Cooperative Soil
Survey.
Official tables of soil survey properties and interpretations are available
from Section II of the electronic Field
Office Technical Guide.
To obtain a hard copy of a soil survey, please contact your county Soil and
Water Conservation District Office.
