Who We Are

Acquisition Services Directorate provides a full spectrum of procurement services to Department of the Interior, other Civilian agencies, and the Department of Defense. We help managers throughout the Federal government fulfill their missions by providing compliant acquisition solutions. With offices throughout the continental United States and clients with complex requirements, we continue to develop our expertise and strategies for getting acquisitions in place efficiently and effectively. From market research through closeout, AQD is able to educate the customer on the details of contracting, and how best to accomplish the requirement at hand.

We offer a team of professionals who understand the unique and ever changing acquisition process. The team brings a collective understanding of Federal procurement policy and assists Federal agencies by managing project lifecycles from start to finish – from planning, soliciting, and evaluating offers, to awarding and administering contracts through close-out. Contracting Officers at the Acquisition Services Directorate are warranted to use all available contracting vehicles, including GSA Schedules, GWACs, and IDIQs to fulfill customer requirements.

Each of the offices brings core acquisition functions coupled with specialized skills. These competencies provide customers with service and expertise, removing redundancy, competency gaps, and inconsistencies in service delivery. An integrated organizational structure ensures resources and customer needs are routed through the appropriate offices resulting in efficiencies, improved customer outcomes, and optimal resource management.

What We Do

Through a streamlined intake process, all new customer requests are routed through one central intake and then assigned to the office that will best serve their specific need. AQD has designated a primary office for each of its core acquisition service lines to ensure the customer has access to the best service possible.

  • Each AQD acquisition office provides contract administration, from market research through contract closeout

  • Each office has continuing education programs, identification of focused training to maintain a high level of expertise, and commits its budget accordingly

  • Each AQD location will serve as specialist for at least one core competency and some offices will serve more than one area of concentration
