Washington, DC – Congresswoman Nan Hayworth, M.D. (NY-19) joined today with the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program in their October breast cancer awareness campaign to encourage women to get mammograms.

 “October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, reminding us that early detection and timely treatment are key to breast cancer survival,” said U.S. Congresswoman Nan Hayworth. “As a physician and a mother, I understand how women often put their own health on hold as they attend to the needs of their loved ones. That's why it's so important for women to know that when they take care of themselves, they take care of their families too.”
