    • If you can, pleae Help. Well here is a story that will surprise many of you. Today I went down to the DPS department of public service, to renew my driver’s license. Waiting in a long line I finally got up to someone to help me I had to fill out papers and get a ticket to be served. When they finally called my ticket number I put down my old drivers license and they checked it on the computer. Imagine my surprise when they said I am not an American citizen. I said I have a military ID card, I have a Social Security number, I have my driver’s license, and I have my Veterans Administration identification card. They informed me that none of these IDs could verify that I was an American citizen. I am 65 years old and soon will be 66. I have been driving in the United States since the 60s. I served four years in the United States Marine Corps and did two tours in Vietnam. I am 100% disabled and have been awarded numerous medals and the Purple Heart. Again this was not enough of evidence of my citizenship. I was born in Columbus Ohio and they said that I had to have a birth certificate or a passport in order for me to get a driver’s license. Imagine my anger at being an American citizen and not being able to vote. And can't drive a car and being classified after living in the United States all of my life I am now no longer an American citizen. I have no way of knowing what the hell is going on with our government at the motor vehicle departments. Then to add insult and injury to me they informed me of there are many people who are not American citizens who are getting licenses at this very moment at that very DPS office. But I cannot get my driver’s license renewed here in Texas. I am angry and I am very close to going over the edge with this remark they made about my citizenship.

  5. Nearly four years ago, the Obama Administration promised us that their economic policies would keep unemployment under 8%.  Last week’s September jobs report showed that it’s taken them 44 months to get there – while the drop in the unemplo...

Just had an interview on the Trey Ware Morning Show on KTSA 550 AM to raise awareness about the Raul Jimenez organization’s efforts to help others during the holiday season in San Antonio – I’ll be on again briefly at 12:25 PM and 4:15 PM today – tune in to learn more about my and other’s efforts to support initiatives that help underprivileged families, individuals and seniors from San Antonio and the surrounding areas.
  8. A recent study shows that Obamacare’s total regulatory burden so far is estimated to be $27.6 billion, which is larger than the entire economy of Jamaica. The additional regulatory cost is estimated to destroy over 18,000 jobs nationwide, and just under 1,300 in Texas. I’m proud one of my first votes in Congress was to repeal Obamacare in its entirety, and will continue working to repeal it and lift this burden off of our nation’s job creators.

  10. Despite today's jobs report, the unemployment rate is still too high and there are too many Americans out of work or underemployed. The American people deserve better than the slow, anemic economic growth of the past four years.
