  13. Did you know that USADF has a Small Grants program in 17 different African countries in conjunction with the local US Embassy? Popularly known as the Ambassador's Self Help Fund, these small grants are generally less than $15,000 and target rural, marginalized community groups.

    In 2012, USADF funded 102 Small Grants worth more than $830,000. Djibouti was USADF newest addition to the Small Grant family in 2012.
