Ms. Connor, Will you be passing through San Angelo or Abilene? I’m a Security Studies graduate student at San Angelo State University, but reside in Abilene where my husband is currently stationed with the Air Force (Dyess AFB). If you'll be only nearby one of those two, I'd certainly be willing to make a day trip of it to listen to you speak. Is there a link to your schedule that I might be overlooking? Thanks in advance your time! Hope to see you soon! Stefanie DiFrisco

    • Thanks for coming to UNT last Friday to divulge info on careers with the State Department. I'm very interested in becoming a civil servant and eventually a foreign service officer.

  3. I've added some events to my events page, in case you are interested. (1) For those of you in Forth Worth, I'll be talking at TCU on Friday, October 12, at 1 pm, about working for the State Department. (2) If you live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area but haven't been able to catch any of my events so far, I'll be at the Fairfield Inn Marriott on the LBJ Freeway on Friday, October 12, at 5 pm, and ...
will speak with whomever shows up. (3) And for those in the Austin area, I'm organizing a panel on internships with the State Department on Thursday, October 18, at 12:15, at the LBJ School, Room 3.122. Come listen to a former intern speak about her experiences. Keep an eye on the events section on this page to see when I might be in your area.

  4. Hello, Everyone: Thanks to all of you who turned out for my Info Sessions during September at the UT LBJ School, Texas State, St. Edward's, UT San Antonio, Southwestern, SMU, UT Arlington, and North Texas State. I'd appreciate any feedback anyone cares to give. Did the sessions answer your questions? Would you have liked me to spend more time on some particular aspect? And I'd like to hear about your experiences, too. Did you recently take the Foreign Service Officer Test (FSOT)? How was it? I'll be visiting more campuses in October, including Concordia, Mary-Hardin Baylor, St. Mary's, TCU, and Abilene Christian College. I hope to see you on down the road1
