U.S. U.S. Air Force Non-Lethal Weapons Information The mission of the United States Air Force is to fly, fight and win in air, space and cyberspace. The U.S. Air Force uses non-lethal weapons to:

  • Achieve compliance
  • Facilitate target identification, crowd control, and limit mobility of threats (mounted and       dismounted)
  • Provide Airmen with protection from blunt-trauma injuries from thrown objects
  • Provide Airmen with realistic hands-on training
