Summary:

Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) offers incentives for its residential customers to purchase and install energy efficient equipment and measures for the homes. Rebate charts of eligible products and equipment are available on the SMUD program web site listed above. Equipment requirements may be found on the rebate chart and must be met by all participating customers. The Home Performance Program requires that a home energy evaluation be performed to determine the most effective efficiency measures to utilize. Contact SMUD for more information on this comprehensive home efficiency offering.

Additionally, homeowners may participate in the Neighborhood Efficiency Program, which targets neighborhoods of similarly constructed homes for energy upgrades.  Home energy upgrades are offered in three different packages which will suit varying needs. One contractor will be identified for the entire neighborhood and will complete the work utilizing bulk discounts wherever available. For more specific information regarding equipment rebates, efficiency standards and applications please visit the program web site.
