Eligible Efficiency Technologies: Clothes Washers, Dishwasher, Refrigerators, Water Heaters, Lighting, Lighting Controls/Sensors, Heat pumps, Motors, Heat Pump Water Heater, Terminal Units, ETS, Thermal Slabs, LED Lighting
Eligible Renewable/Other Technologies: Geothermal Heat Pumps
Applicable Sectors: Commercial, Industrial, Residential, Agricultural
Amount:Geothermal Heat Pumps: $150/ton, additional $150 per unit for Energy Star units greater than 3 tons, additional $120 if attached to electric water heater
Air Source Heat Pump: $125 - $150/ton, additional $100 - $150 per unit for Energy Star units greater than 2 tons
Packaged Terminal Heat Pump: $85/unit
Electric Thermal Storage: $20/kW
Thermal Slab: $16/kW
Electric Water Heater: $70/unit, additional $75 for controlled unit, additional $25 for lifetime warranty
Marathon Water Heater: $300/unit, plus $2/gallon
Electric Motor: $10/hp
Refrigerator/Freezer: $40
Clothes Washer: $40
Dishwasher: $30
LED Street Lighting: $200/head or 25% of cost of head
LED Refrigerated Case Lighting Retrofit: $60/door, $10/foot of multi-deck cases
Commercial Lighting Replacement: $250/kW saved or 50% of invoiced equipment cost.
Maximum Incentive:LED Street Lighting: $20,000
LED Refrigerated Case Lighting Retrofit: $3,000
Commercial Lighting Replacement: $20,000
Equipment Requirements:Geothermal Heat Pumps: 3.5 COP, 16.1 SEER
Air Source Heat Pump: 8.2 HSPF, 14.5 SEER, 12 EER
Packaged Terminal Heat Pump: 8.0 HSPF, 14 SEER, 11 EER, 12,000 BTU per hour/1 ton
Electric Thermal Storage: controlled by time or master control system
Thermal Slab: controlled by time or master control system
Electric Water Heater: 30 gallon minimum, 6 year warranty
Marathon Water Heater: participation in Power Partner program
Electric Motor: NEMA certified, 10 - 500 hp
Refrigerators/Freezers, Clothes Washers, Dishwashers: must be Energy Star
Installation Requirements:Participation in Power Partnership Program may be required

Summary:

Mountain View Electric Association, Inc. (MVEA) and Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association Inc., MVEA’s power supplier, will pay credits to MVEA customers who install qualifying energy efficiency equipment and appliances, or pursue large scale facility lighting upgrades.  Both residential and business customers are eligible for rebates. All equipment requirements must be met in order to receive these credits.  The LED street lighting and commercial lighting replacement programs require pre-approval by Tri-State.  For more information on applying, eligibility, and incentive payments, contact MVEA, or review the program web site.
