Summary:

Sawnee EMC provides a variety of rebates for residential customers building new energy efficient homes or making energy efficiency improvements to existing homes.
The Energy Efficiency Existing Home Rebate Program offers rebates for attic insulation upgrades, HVAC tune-ups, hybrid water heaters, and appliance recycling. In order to qualify for the rebates, members must first have a free on-site evaluation performed by a Sawnee EMC Energy Service Representative (ESR). Measures recommended by the ESR then qualify for the rebate once they have been completed and inspected.

The Energy Star Home Program provides a $500 rebate for new homes that meet a variety of energy efficiency requirements located on the program web site. In order to qualify for the rebate, homes must be single-family, detached, permanent dwellings. The home will be inspected during the building process to assure that it meets the program guidelines.

Sawnee will also provide up to $200 to local community agencies that provide weatherization assistance to income qualified members.  For more information, visit the program website or contact the utility directly.
