Amount:Energy Efficient Water Heaters: $50 - $150
ENERGY Star Clothes Washers: $20 - $50
ENERGY Star Refrigerators: $15
Refrigerator Recycling: $30
Insulation: $0.40 per sq ft
Windows: $3 per sq ft
Heat Pumps: $300 - $1,400
Ductless Heat Pump: $1,800
Geothermal Heat Pumps: $3,300
Duct Sealing: $400 - $500
ENERGY Star Manufactured Homes: $1,150
ENERGY Star Homes: $200 - $1,500
Eligible System Size:Water Heaters: At least 40 gallons
Equipment Requirements:Water Heaters: EF.85 - . 94 minimum depending on size
All appliances must be ENERGY Star certified
Windows: Must meet NFRC guidelines
Installation Requirements:Heat Pumps and Geothermal Heat Pumps must be installed by a certified PTCS contractor
Windows: Self-installed windows will undergo pre/post inspection by a KEC representative

Summary:
Kootenai Electric Cooperative offers incentives for residential customers to increase the energy efficiency of participating homes. Rebates are available for the purchase of ENERGY Star qualified clothes washers, refrigerators, and certified homes, as well as water heaters, air-source and geothermal heat pumps, duct sealing, and windows. ENERGY Star Home rebates vary depending on the construction and the installed heating system. Qualified homes must have a heat pump installed according to ENERGY Star specifications.
