Eligible Efficiency Technologies: Heat pumps, Central Air conditioners, Duct/Air sealing, Building Insulation, Comprehensive Measures/Whole Building, System Tune-Up
Eligible Renewable/Other Technologies: Geothermal Heat Pumps
Applicable Sectors: Residential, Construction, Installer/Contractor
Amount:Existing Home Air-source Heat Pump: $200 (home owner); $100 (dealer)
Existing Home Geothermal Heat Pump: $200 (home owner); $100 (dealer)
Existing Home Air Conditioner: $200 (home owner); $100 (dealer)
New Home Air-source Heat Pump: $300 (builder)
New Home Geothermal Heat Pump: $300 (builder)
New Home Air Conditioner: $300 (builder)
Attic Insulation and Air Sealing: $250
Duct Sealing: $100
Heat Pump and Air Conditioner Tune Up: $50
A/C Cycling Power Manager Program: $35 + bill credits
Equipment Requirements:Heat Pumps and A/C: must have a SEER value equal to or greater than 14, and include an ECM fan motor
Geothermal Heat Pumps must have an EER of 10.5 or higher and include an ECM fan motor.
Installation Requirements:Must be installed by a Duke Energy Participating Trade Ally
The program is available to customers residing in single family homes, condos, or duplexes.

Summary:

 

The Smart $aver® program offers incentives for residential customers to increase their home’s energy efficiency. Incentives are provided for qualifying heating and cooling equipment installation or service, attic insulation with air sealing, and duct sealing. Duke Energy Indiana electric residential retail customers residing in a single-family home, condominium, duplex or mobile homes are eligible for the incentives. All incentives are paid after completion of the services.
