Summary:

Southeastern Indiana REMC (SIREMC) offers residential customers various heating and cooling rebates to improve the energy efficiency of participating homes. Rebates are available for energy efficient hot water heaters, air conditioners, and all-electric, dual fuel, and geothermal heat pumps. Rebates are available for new construction and replacement of old systems in existing homes. The rebate amounts depend on the efficiency of the new equipment and the type of system that it is replacing. To be eligible for the rebate program, all homeowners must complete a Residential Rebate Request Form and turn it in along with proof of purchase for equipment and a signed consent form. When customers sign the consent form, they are agreeing to participate in the future installation of load control devices on the rebated appliances. A $25 rebate is also available for HVAC system tune-ups. Contact SIREMC for additional program details.
