Summary:
DTE Energy Residential New Construction Program has been suspended. Customers can call 866-796-0512 with questions.
Detroit Edison (DTE) Energy offers rebates on home builders' first five houses every calendar year to assist with ENERGY STAR certification costs. The rebate is based on the square footage of the house, not including basements or garages. Rebates can be reserved in advance and are paid upon completion of the final Home Energy Rating Service (HERS) Rating. Each energy audit will identify easy to install measures to help reduce energy use and control energy costs. $150 in rebates are available, plus incentives on individual improvements that can total up to $1,350 depending on the audit type.
