Do you value DSIRE?

While the DSIRE project is currently funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, the N.C. Solar Center, which manages and maintains DSIRE, is now seeking additional support – in the form of contributions from businesses, foundations, individuals and others -- to help ensure project sustainability, especially during an era of increasing federal budget uncertainty.

Since 1995, DSIRE has served as the most comprehensive source of public information on incentives and policies that promote renewables and energy efficiency in the United States. DSIRE currently provides summaries of more than 2,700 incentives and policies established by the federal government, states and territories, local governments, and utilities. DSIRE and its resources are reviewed and updated regularly by a dedicated, responsive project staff.
