Using 10 US Code 4543 McAlester AAP has partnered with The Boeing Company of St. Charles, MO. For the Load Assembly and Pack (LAP) of the Harpoon anti-ship missile, Stand Off Land Attack missile (SLAM) and the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS).

Under 10 US Code 4543 McAlester AAP has partnered with Raytheon Missile Systems, Tucson, AZ. for the All-Up-Round (AUR) integration of the Joint Stand Off Weapon (JSOW). The AGM-154 is an air to ground missile used by the US Navy.

Using 10 US Code 4543, MCAAP has partnered with General Dynamics OTS in St. Petersburg, FL for the five year Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) demilitarization contract. Under this partnership we are performing resource, recovery, recycle, and reutilization of the M117 750 lb., MK82 500 lb. and MK84 2,000 lb. bombs.

Using 22 US Code 2270, McAlester AAP has partnered with General Dynamics OTS in Garland Texas for the load assembly and pack of the MK 84 (2,000 lb.) Tritonal loaded bombs.  The ultimate customer for these bombs is Israel.

Business Opportunities

The McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (MCAAP) is a Government-Owned/Government-Operated (GOGO) facility located in Southeastern Oklahoma. The plant consist of 45,000 acres and is the largest conventional explosive storage site in the United States. The plant is ISO 9001-2000 certified and has complete life cycle ammunition management from design, production, storage, maintenance, and demilitarization.

P3 Public/Private Partnerships

MCAAP has a long history of marketing its capabilities to both Department of Defense contractors and the public. We started our marketing program in 1994 with our first partnership, McDonald Douglas, now the Boeing Company. We performed the Load Assemble and Pack (LAP) of the Harpoon anti-ship warhead for them. Soon after that we entered into a partnership with Texas Instruments, now The Raytheon Missile Systems, for the All-Up-Round integration of the High Speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM). We now have eleven partnerships with a goal to increase that to 17 in the coming year. We offer Load Assemble and Pack and Resource, Recovery, Recycle, and Reutilization (R4) services as well as maintenance, renovation, demilitarization, emerging technologies and research and development of all conventional ammunition.

Public-Private Partnerships (P3) are accomplished using direct sales authority 10 US Codes 4543 and 4544 for DOD contracts and 22 US Code 2770 for foreign military sales contracts. Our industry partners include:

MCAAP is also responsible for the Red River Munitions Center (RRMC) located on the Red River Army Depot just west of Texarkana, Texas on I-40. The RRMC closes August 2 as a result of BRAC 2005.
