DPAP is responsible for all Contracting and Procurement policy matters including e-Business in the Department of Defense (DoD). DPAP executes that policy through the timely update of the DFARS, PGI, and 5000.1&2.

Defense Pricing
The Director of Defense Pricing reports to the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology) (USD(AT&L;)) but is supported by the Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy office.

Enable the Components to effectively deliver goods and services that meet the needs of the warfighter, while ensuring a business deal that is in the best interests of the tax payer by overseeing and implementing the OSD Better Buying Power Initiatives, formulating and overseeing complex, DOD-wide pricing policies and strategies supporting the procurement of major defense system programs, major automated information systems and service acquisitions for the Department.

Director, Defense Procurement & Acquisition Policy
Mr. Richard T. Ginman assumed the position of Director of Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy (DPAP) in June of 2011. In that capacity he is responsible for domestic, international, and contingency contract policy, Acquisition policy and oversight of DoD 5000.1 and 2, oversight of the DFARS and the DoD member of the FAR council, as well as Program Development and Implementation with regard to E-Business, and finally oversight of the Purchase card program.Read More
