edition! In 1994, Irish Taoiseach Albert Reynolds presented Pres Clinton this crystal bowl (filled with shamrocks at the time) at the White House. The visit also served as an opportunity for the leaders to discuss the Northern Ireland peace process.

Cut design on surface consists of eight sections of a harp alternating with a triquetra, four of each design around bowl. An etched shamrock design is on the inside of the bowl and a dove holding an olive branch on the outside. Diamond design cut stem and base.
Irish Taoiseach Albert Reynolds, in a dark suit and green-hued tie, hands an ornate crystal bowl filled with shamrocks to President Clinton, who is wearing a brown suit and green tie. They are standing in front of a podium with microphones, and several onlookers are in the background of the photo.

The podium is made of wood and has gold metal detailing. On the front of the podium is a partially obscured banner; the visible text reads "NCNW National Council of Negro Women; African [American]." We kick off with a artifact: a "Women for a Democratic America" campaign button from c. 1996, gifted to the Clintons in 2014. It features Democratic First Ladies throughout history, from Rachel Jackson to Hillary Clinton.

A circular political campaign button. The background is gold. The center features a portrait of Hillary Rodham Clinton in a gold oval frame on a white background beneath blue and red text that reads "Democratic First Ladies of the White House." On either side of Hillary Clinton's portrait are American flags, and beneath her are three portraits, each in a gold oval frame. From left to right the portraits are of Eleanor Roosevelt, Jacqueline Kennedy, and Lady Bird Johnson.

The centerpiece of the button is framed by a circular wreath made up of smaller portraits that alternate with simplified seals of the American flag. The bottom center of the button reads "Women for a Democratic America." The portraits begin clockwise from there and are as follows: Rachel Jackson, Hannah Van Buren, Sarah Polk, Jane Pierce, Harriet Lane, Frances Cleveland, Ellen Wilson, Edith Wilson, Elizabeth Truman, and Rosalynn Carter.

To celebrate the last of , we're sharing this painting gifted to President Clinton in 1998! Called "Daughters of the South," it depicts two Black women in beautifully patterned dresses walking towards the water on a windy day.

A photograph of artwork depicting the backs of two Black women as they walk through the grass towards a large body of water. The sky behind them is light blue and full of fluffy white clouds. The woman on the left wears a red and white striped dress and a headscarf, and they appear to be blowing in the wind. She carries a straw hat with a blue ribbon, also blowing in the wind, behind her back. The woman on the right wears a purple dress with pink roses. Her left hand rests on the other woman's shoulder in friendship, and her right hand secures her purple hat to her head in the wind.
