Congresswoman Anna Eshoo: I won my Rose Bowl bet with Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin. Today, she sent along the winnings--Wisconsin beer and brats. Go Stanford! 1 week ago
Congresswoman Anna Eshoo: Today, women earn just 77 cents for every dollar a man earns, costing women, men and families $400,000 to $2 million over a lifetime of lost wages. Pay inequity due to gender discrimination is real, it should not be tolerated, and we need to take action against it. The Paycheck Fairness Act is the path forward. "Like" if you agree. #PaycheckFairnessAct 3 weeks ago
Congresswoman Anna Eshoo: Only six percent of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer live longer than five years, and 74 percent of patients die within a year of diagnosis. So for most patients who get news from their doctor that they have pancreatic cancer, it's like receiving a death sentence. My new recalcitrant cancer research law aims to develop better treatments and potential cures for the deadliest of cancers, like pancreas and lung cancers. There is new hope on the horizon for the many affected by these diseases. 1 month ago
Congresswoman Anna Eshoo: My bill designating a Mountain View, California post office as the Lieutenant Kenneth N. Ballard Memorial Post Office will become law! When duty called, Lieutenant Ballard answered, and for that, our community should honor him. 1 month ago

Rep. Anna G. Eshoo (D-Calif.) and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) were joined by industry leaders to trumpet a new law taking effect today that turns down the volume on loud commercials. The law, known as the Commercial Advertisement Loudness Mitigation Act or CALM Act, requires broadcast, cable, satellite and other video providers to keep the volume of commercials at a level consistent with regular TV programming. Eshoo was the original author of the law.
