EDA Known Issues

Single Sign On

  • EDA is now session based. When the EDA session expires, EDA users will be asked to re-authenticate. In order to re-authenticate to the SSO system, EDA users may have to close the browser.

Contract Load Notifications, AAI Notifications, CDR Notifications, and CDR Reminders

  • Email notifications generated by EDA contain new instructions to help use the SSO system. It is important that users read and follow the instructions within the contract load notification, AAI notification, and CDR notification/reminder e-mails.
  • Links in these e-mail notifications will not work unless you are signed into the SSO system. Please read the text of contract load, CDR, and AAI notification e-mails carefully and ensure that you logged into the correct EDA site using the SSO.
  • AS AN EXAMPLE, the e-mail message for contract load notification now contains the following:

Before accessing the links in this e-mail message you must be logged into EDA using the SSO System: <URL for Production SSO Site>. Click on EDA and select Ogden.

    OR

Before accessing the links in this e-mail message you must be logged into EDA using the SSO System: <URL for Production SSO Site>. Click on EDA and select Columbus.

  • The above line of the message will depend on the site that generated the notification.
  • If the user is not logged into SSO or is logged into the wrong site when the user accesses the document link then the user will receive the following error message: "session timeout or invalid session".

Screen Formatting

  • Internal network settings may conflict with the way the EDA application screens are rendered. Mitigation is to try to refresh the screen, go back one page, or ultimately close out of the browser and log back into EDA.

CDR Reports

  • Buttons may appear to be "broken" on the Internet Explorer 8 Browser and above. Use the configuration instructions described below to display buttons correctly.

To Configure Internet Explorer 8 and above:

  1. Navigate to the CDR Reports page.
  2. Click Tools on Internet Explorer toolbar.
  3. Ensure that the Compatibility View menu option is unchecked. Configuration complete.

Manual Contract Uploads

  • If a user uploads a Contract that is a Referenced Procurement Instrument (such as a GSA contract) and the contract already exists, then EDA will display two error messages. The first message indicates that the contract already exists. The second message incorrectly indicates that the contract does not exist. This is a known issue that will be fixed in a subsequent release.

PDS Rendering

  • SF 1442 forms for PDS 2.4 data does not render correctly
  • Line breaks may not render correctly for Clauses and Miscellaneous Text on the Internet Explorer 8 Browser. Use the configuration instructions described below to display Line breaks correctly.

To Configure Internet Explorer 8:

  1. Navigate to a page with an XML rendering in EDA on Internet Explorer 8.
  2. Click Tools on Internet Explorer 8 toolbar.
  3. Ensure that the Compatibility View menu option is unchecked. Configuration complete.
  • Line breaks may not render correctly inside the Clauses and Miscellaneous Text on Internet Explorer 7 Browser.
  • If the "PDS" and/or "PDS Evaluation" titles do not appear at the top of printed paper copies of PDS rendered documents, refer to the browser's "Help" instructions for changing how web pages look when they print.

Network Issues

  • If you receive a "The page cannot be displayed" error with "Cannot find server or DNS Error" at the bottom of the page, please send an email to EDAMail@dla.mil with subject "DNS Issue" so that we can track these occurrences.
