Inactivate Contract
- To Inactivate a document, the user account
must have the Upload/Inactivate
Contracts Role and be associated with the specific Issue
by DoDAAC on the contract that is being inactivated.
-
- EDA offers authorized users additional
screen interface options for document inactivation and document
replacement. A document may be replaced if applicable.
-
- When an inactivation occurs:
- DFAS may be notified based on the Pay
DoDAAC
- Contract Load Notification members will
be notified
- EDA inactivates the contract data and
captures an audit
IMPORTANT NOTE: Inactivate a contract
document at one site only. EDA replicates the action to
the other EDA site. Do NOT repeat inactivation.
- Note: The inactivate contract function does not modify index fields, it only inactivates the PDF document associated with the index. If PDS data exists for the contract, the PDS ("Y") or PDS EVAL ("E") document render link is also removed and the PDS view is unavailable to the user while the PDF is inactive.
-
-
- To Inactivate a Contract document
- An authorized user queries contracts from
the Contracts Query Results page:
-
- Step 1:
Click "X" (red
'x') next to the specific Contract
(Base, Modification,
Delivery Order, Task Order)
-
- Step 2: Select
"Rationale" from drop-down list
-
- Step 3:
Enter "Comment" (250 Character)
-
- Step 4:
Click "Inactivate..."
Step 5: Review and Click "Confirm"
-
- Document
History audits records and all
contract maintenance activity. Inactive document(s) may
still be viewed from the links within Document History and the
Recent Contract Document list on the Contract Document Search
screen.
EDA updates the index with inactive icon
and removes the document URL.
- Interfacing systems do not receive inactive
contract documents or XML data.
-
- Step 6: EDA
returns the user to the Contracts Query Results page in Folder
View with the inactive document indicated in red.
-
- Note: Contract
document inactivation is required at one site ONLY, EDA will
replicate to the alternate site.
