Speakers

Piper Ehlen, JD is the Managing Director of Federal Programs with HomeBase, a nonprofit public interest law firm dedicated to the social problem of homelessness. She provides a variety of technical assistance and training to communities and states. Her expertise includes strategic planning processes; program design and implementation; facilitating interagency and inter-jurisdictional coordination efforts; and training on a variety of program and policy issues. Ms. Ehlen will be presenting “Housing First and Housing as a Critical Component of Health Care.”

Piper Ehlen, JD

Dr. Suzanne Candell, PhD is a Clinical Health Psychologist whose practice focuses on working with patients with chronic pain, functional gastrointestinal conditions, and other health issues. Her approach is grounded in the science of psychophysiology, the neurobiology of attachment, and psychoneuroimmunology. She has a particular expertise in the addressing the psychophysiological impact of psychological trauma on health and mind-body functioning. Dr. Candell will be presenting “Mind-Body Healing and Treating Chronic Pain: Principles and Strategies.”

Leanne Delsart, MS is the Training and Crisis Coordinator for Wraparound Milwaukee. For the last 14 years, Leanne has worked with children and families affected by trauma, mental health and behavioral health challenges. She has collaborated with the Juvenile Justice, Child Welfare and Education systems as an advocate for children and families, and as a trainer in the field of Trauma Informed Care. Leanne has a long history with Wraparound, starting her career as a Care Coordinator for Wraparound Milwaukee before moving into supervisory, program development, and administrative roles. Ms.

Leanne Delsart, MS

Dr. Donald Warne, MD, MPH is Professor and Chair of the Department of Public Health in the College of Health Professions at North Dakota State University, and he is the Senior Policy Advisor to the Great Plains Tribal Chairmen’s Health Board. Dr. Warne oversees the only Master of Public Health in the nation with an American Indian Public Health specialization. Dr. Warne will be presenting “Impact of Population Health Programming on Behavioral Health Outcomes.”
