Welcome to the AD/APC FAST Facility
The mission of the Fermilab Accelerator Science and Technology (FAST) Facility is to develop a fully-equipped test facility to support research and development of accelerator technology for the next generation of particle accelerators. The focus of this effort is the Intregable Optics Test Accelerator (IOTA) ring, which will be able to accept injection with either of the following:
- 150 MeV electrons from a photoinjector-based superconducting RF linear accelerator.
- 2.5 MeV protons (H+) from a duo-plasmatron source (formerly HINS).
